I’m in a session with Leslie Fisher (she commented on the slow connection she has) who’s talking about Adobe Acrobat and some of the tricks it will do. She’s doing a good job and is pointing out a lot of the tools and capabilities it has, but it seems like it’s hard to use in addition to the tools you already use to create your documents. What’s the compelling reason to go farther than simply printing to PDF so I can share it on the web? Hmmmm….
OK, well she just brought in 600 dpi TIF file of a scanned page and showed how Acrobat will turn the graphic into a text file with some OCR (Optical Character Recognition) trickery. That’s cool.
