Create a poster, Google Earth goodies…

Welcome back to another year of Weekly Web Wonders.  I hope everyone had a great summer, my family and I certainly did.

  • Keep your eyes open for our Fall Technology Workshops flyer…it should be arriving later this week.  Our workshops are also listed online.
  • You’ve seen those motivational posters, now you can create your own custom poster.  Make them funny or make them serious, plus you can add your own image and make it unique.  Perfect for the start of a new year!
  • As you probably are aware, I’ve touted Google Earth for quite some time.  The Google Earth Blog has collected a Back to School list of educational uses for Google Earth.  Very cool.
  • Use Mathcasts.org to view and experience short screencasts, or movies, of math problem solving and solutions.
  • AjaxTrans is a simple web sight that automatically translates as you type.  Use it to translate English, Spanish, German Italian, Portuguese, or French.

Have a great week!

  1. Hi All Experts,
Does anyone use google earth images as ground image planes for use in aerial scenes. I know how to stitch them together but are there any tools or tricks to make sure that the images are at the same height, angle and such to make sure they stitch well. I know in the pro version you can get bigger images but im not going to pay for the pro version when i could stitch multiple images together…
