Counting stars and Constitution…

Can’t find a resource you saw in Weekly Web Wonders?  Check out all the web sites online here.

  • Google for Educators is a new resource that highlights 12 Google tools, with examples of how educators are using them and lesson ideas.
  • One tool worth highlighting is Google Docs.  Google Docs offers both a spreadsheet and word processing application…all online.  The word processor was formerly Writely, which I’ve highlighted before, but Google bought them out.
  • Star Count is a new project activity from NASA in which students count the number of stars they can see where they live, share data with students from around the world, and compare findings.
  • It’s too late for Constitution Day, but the Dept of Ed has a number of Constitution Resources for teachers and students.
  • Use Google Accessible Search to find resources friendly to those with visual impairments.
  • If you’re looking for money for your classroom, think about applying for a Closing the Technology Gap in Education Award from DaimlerChrysler
