Online classes, science resources, and color schemes

  • High School Teachers…if you’re thinking about how to create Online Learning Experiences that will meet the new graduation requirements you should consider registering for our workshop, “Creating Online Learning Experiences.” This session, being held on January 30 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. will get you started using our free online tool to host your own online activities.
  • Also next week (January 31) the online class “Internet in the Curriculum” begins. This is a great class for teachers who have never taken an online class before and will strengthen your skills in using the Internet as a teaching tool.
  • BooksUse The Library Thing to create an online catalog of your books as well as connect with other people who are reading similar things.
  • Landcraft would be interesting to explore while you’re studying landforms. Make your own adjustments and create new surface features.
  • Nancy Clark (no relation) has created two great pages worth exploring, Amazing Chemistry Resources and Biology Resources (also Amazing). Each site has lots of links, tips, and resources for 6-12 science teachers.
  • This Color Scheme Tool is supposed to be used for designing pretty web pages, but really it’s a tool that can be used for many types of projects, including home improvement!
