Robots on the Road

I’ve visited several schools since I offered the Robotics Roadshow to our Freedom to Learn schools. At each, we spent a lot of time and effort thinking as well as building robots. Students have had to come up with ways to successfully complete various robot challenges like…

  • navigating obstacle courses
  • moving objects from one place to a target
  • reacting to barriers
  • RoboWarand last, but not least, the ever-popular RoboBattle

Some challenges require creativity in designing the right kind of robot or an appropriate appendage that will do the job. Others require the logic and problem solving of programming the right instructions for the robot to follow. Either way, everyone has a great time stretching their cranial muscle.

RoboWarOf course, the most fun was the RoboBattle. Just add a little competition and kids are ready to go!
