ReadWriteThink and Google Lit Trips to Zamzar…

Weekly Web Wonders

  • I know each of you are swimming in money and have a hard time spending all the cash in your accounts, but let me pass on TechSelector. This site helps you find the right tech product, so you spend your money wisely.
  • ReadWriteThink is a site for practices and resources in reading and language arts instruction from the International Reading Association. Lots of great stuff here!
  • I know we had the Google Special Edition just last week, but how can I pass up Google Lit Trips? “Using Google Earth, students discover where in the world the greatest road trip stories of all time took place… and so much more!”
  • Usually I try to link to single pages or sites, but this post from the SEGA Tech blog contains a great list of resources that are good to use with interactive white boards such as those made by SMART or Promethean or any number of others. Whether or not you have an interactive whiteboard, these are still great resources.
  • There are lots of file formats out there and sometimes your files aren’t in the correct format. You can use Zamzar to convert files into about 25 different file types. This is a great utility!
