TechCamp Spotlight: Brad Wilson on VoiceThread

Everyone knows that a teacher’s first year is a tough one…it’s difficult to manage your time, figure out how to run a classroom, and make sure you’re addressing the curriculum. Innovation isn’t a priority, there’s no time for that…as the saying goes, it’s Survival!

Fortunately for fourth grade students at Stewart Elementary, their teacher has found the time and energy to try out new uses of technology. Brad Wilson will be joining us at TechCamp to facilitate a session on creating multimedia projects using VoiceThread. VoiceThread is an extremely engaging tool for creating and collaborating on what might be thought of as a multimedia slide show. Slide show isn’t a great descriptor, however, VoiceThread does much more, including allowing collaboration from multiple authors in numerous ways.

Check out how Brad’s students used VoiceThread to create an end of year Reflection. Awesome! I know you’ll get a lot out of Brad’s session…come ready to play!
