Conneceting, Collage, and Columbus…

https://remc11.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/www_bullet.jpg I want to draw your attention, again, to a new online class which begins next week.  Connecting & Collaborating with Online Tools is a six week online class which will explore various types of online tools and how they can be used by both teachers and students to enhance their learning experiences.  The course is available for 2 grad credits or 6.0 SB-CEUs.  Click the link for more info and registration information.

https://remc11.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/www_bullet.jpg Printing web pages can be tricky.  You often get more than what you want…like those banner ads.  To the rescue comes PrintWhatYouLike, which lets you edit the page so that you only print the info you want.  Not too shabby.

https://remc11.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/www_bullet.jpgStainedGlass Collage offers a creative way to display multiple images.  First upload your pics, click Create Collage, adjust the images, and done!

https://remc11.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/www_bullet.jpg Nikon is hosting a site called Universcale, which is a visual representation of size.  Start out beyond the limits of the universe and move by powers of ten to the very, very (very) small.  This is a fun site to explore…would be a great writing prompt.

https://remc11.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/www_bullet.jpg The History Channel has a great site on the History of Columbus Day, which is next Monday.  While your there, check out their History of Halloween site as well.  Great information on our traditions…why we do the things we do.

Have a great week!
